Decorative bright chrome plating plastic process includes following steps:
1. Apply initial electroless nickel plating layer, 20-40 micro-inches (0.5-1.0 µm) onto all surfaces of plastic part to make surface conductive. The conductive surface is required for electroplating plastic.
2. Copper is deposited with thickness ranging from 400-1000 micro-inches (10-25 µm)
3. Nickel is deposited with thickness ranging from 320-800 micro-inches (8-20 µm). we also deposits duplex nickel to meet automotive industry exterior requirements.
4. Trivalent chromium is deposited to 4-10 micro-inches (0.1-0.25 µm)
